Neil’s Controlled Blasting – I-80 Rockfall Mitigation

Helicopter long-lining a bundle of rockfall mesh up to the slope

Project Description

Neil’s Controlled Blasting brought us out to a rockfall mitigation job in the Truckee River Canyon, where a helicopter was long-lining drape mesh onto the rock face above Interstate 80. We covered the lifts from the air and the rope crews from the ground, and delivered stills and video from the same visit.
