The Challenge
The logistics company managing the move needed the lift documented, with a mobile crane lifting transformers off rail flatcars while trucks and heavy equipment moved around the siding. We covered it entirely from the air, working from a safe standoff and staying clear of the crane and every moving vehicle, while still capturing the scale of the load and the operation.
What we did
- Aerial photography and video across a live heavy-haul operation
- Wide aerials establishing the scale of the load and the equipment
- Closer aerial passes on the crane, rigging and load during the lift
- Edited stills delivered for web, social and sales collateral
- Edited video cut from the same shoot
- Flown from a safe standoff, staying clear of the crane and moving vehicles throughout
The Result
The client received edited aerial stills and video of the full lift, showing the size of the equipment and the complexity of the move in a way ground photos couldn’t.
