Project Description

Neil’s Controlled Blasting brought us out to a rockfall mitigation job in the Truckee River Canyon, where a helicopter was long-lining drape mesh onto the rock face above Interstate 80. We covered the lifts from the air and the rope crews from the ground, and delivered stills and video from the same visit.

What we did

  • Aerial and ground photography across a live rockfall mitigation job on Interstate 80
  • Helicopter long-line lifts captured from the air as mesh panels were flown to the slope
  • Rope access technicians photographed working the rock face above moving traffic
  • Wide canyon aerials showing the treated slope, the highway and the Truckee River
  • Video shot alongside the stills on the same visit
